Conference planning works best when major decisions are made early and detailed logistics are added as the event approaches. This timeline provides a recommended planning sequence for FOCUS hosts. Use it together with the downloadable Conference Planning Checklist to assign owners, set deadlines and track progress.
Keep in mind: Every host institution has different contracting, purchasing, registration and event-management requirements. Use this timeline as a planning framework and adjust individual deadlines to fit your institution.
